Working Principle

As material falls into the feed hopper, it passes through the central feed opening into a high-speed rotating impeller. Inside the impeller, it is rapidly accelerated and collides with another portion of the material that is free-falling after rebounding. Together, they impact against either a material liner (in "stone-on-stone" mode) or impact blocks (in "stone-on-iron" mode). They then rebound diagonally upward toward the top of the vortex chamber, where their direction of motion is altered, causing them to deflect downward and collide with material being ejected from the impeller channels, thereby forming a continuous curtain of material. In this manner, a single piece of material undergoes two or more cycles of impact, friction, and grinding within the vortex crushing chamber before being discharged through the lower discharge port.
