The HVI impact sand-making machine incorporates numerous independently developed technologies and integrates multiple crushing modes into a single unit. It serves as a core piece of equipment in the modern sand-making industry, finding widespread application across sectors such as metallic and non-metallic ore processing, construction materials, artificial sand production, and metallurgical slag treatment. Its user-friendly design simplifies equipment maintenance, while the resulting finished products feature uniform grain size and high quality.
The HVI impact sand-making machine can process materials such as marble, river pebbles, potash feldspar, and iron ore into small stones and sand of various grain sizes.

The impact sand-making machine operates through a combined working principle involving both "stone-on-stone" and "stone-on-iron" crushing modes. As material falls into the feed hopper, it enters the high-speed rotating impeller via the central feed port. Inside the impeller, the material is rapidly accelerated and collides with a separate stream of material that is free-falling after rebounding. Together, these materials impact against either a material liner (in the stone-on-stone mode) or impact blocks (in the stone-on-iron mode). They then rebound diagonally upward toward the top of the vortex chamber, where their direction of motion is altered, causing them to deflect downward. Here, they collide with material being ejected from the impeller channels, forming a continuous "curtain" of material. Consequently, each individual particle within the vortex crushing chamber undergoes multiple cycles—ranging from two to several times—of impact, friction, and grinding, before being discharged through the outlet at the bottom.

Deep-cavity four-port impeller increases stone throughput by 30%.
The peripheral guard plates are reversible (top-to-bottom), and the throwing heads feature a modular assembly; individual worn parts can be replaced independently, reducing costs by 30%.
Supports both central and peripheral feeding modes, allowing for flexible adjustment and convenient switching.
Offers selectable lubrication options; the bearing system features a modular design compatible with both thin-oil and grease-based lubrication, allowing for complete interchangeability.
