The HLM Series Vertical Grinding Mill is a large-scale, high-yield, and energy-efficient grinding product developed through intensive research and development. It incorporates novel material-bed grinding and partial external circulation technologies, drawing upon the company's extensive experience in mill manufacturing. Integrating grinding, classifying, drying, and conveying functions into a single unit, the mill features a simplified process flow capable of reducing lump, granular, and powdery raw materials into the desired fine powder. Its compact layout requires minimal floor space and allows for open-air installation, thereby significantly reducing construction costs.
Widely utilized in industries such as cement, building materials, metallurgy, chemicals, and non-metallic mining for the grinding and processing of solid wastes, including slag, granulated slag, steel slag, and furnace slag.

During operation, the main motor drives the grinding table to rotate via a reducer, while stationary grinding rollers rotate along the raceway of the grinding table. Raw material enters through the feed chute and falls onto the center of the grinding table; under the influence of centrifugal force, it moves uniformly outward from the center toward the edge. As the material passes beneath the grinding rollers, it is subjected to crushing and pulverization—the necessary grinding force being supplied by a hydraulic loading system. Large lumps of material are directly crushed, while finer particles are compressed to form a material bed, facilitating inter-particle grinding.
ODrying and grinding occur simultaneously: primary hot air enters uniformly around the grinding table through an air ring. This airflow dries the pulverized material—which has been tangentially flung outward from the grinding table following pulverization—and conveys it upward to the classifier. Within the classifier, under the action of the rotor blades, coarse particles are returned to the grinding table for further processing. Fine particles of the required fineness exit the mill along with the airflow and are collected by the system's dust collector as the finished product. Meanwhile, a small fraction of larger, difficult-to-grind particles and impurities—which are too heavy to be lifted by the primary airflow—fall through the air ring into the primary air chamber located beneath the mill; these are then discharged from the machine by a scraper device or are conveyed back to the feed inlet to re-enter the vertical mill for further grinding.
The entire system operates under full negative pressure, ensuring zero dust spillage and a clean working environment. Product collection is facilitated by a bag-type dust collector, delivering high dust removal efficiency.
Characterized by high grinding efficiency and low energy consumption, the system features a rationally designed roller-table structure with an extended grinding path and a large grinding surface area. Since the grinding rollers and table do not make direct contact, wear on the roller sleeves and liners is minimized, thereby extending their service life.
Equipped with a dynamic, eco-friendly classifier, the system ensures a concentrated particle size distribution and excellent particle shape. With variable frequency speed control, the fineness of the final product can be adjusted with ease.
The system integrates a drying function directly into the grinding process; by introducing hot air, the powdery material undergoes direct and repeated contact drying within the mill, thereby eliminating the need for a separate drying unit.
